The Seasonal Colleague Advisory Coordinator supports Colleague Advisory with background check assessments, general Colleague Advisory tasks, and performs other duties as assigned.
This position is a hybrid role requiring work in a designated company facility with the option to work-from-home occasionally if technology requirements are met (in home WIFI, and designated workspace) and approval is received in advance. The option to work solely in the company facility is also available.
What You Will Do
Background Check Tasks:
- Review candidate criminal history and drug screening information to assist in determining employment eligibility.
- Conduct phone assessments with candidates related to information submitted on pre-boarding documents and/or provided in a consumer report from a background/drug screening third-party service provider.
- Document phone assessments with candidates with a high degree of accuracy, maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensure candidates supply all required information within the designated timeframe.
- Evaluate candidate responses and make appropriate business decisions to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other agencies regarding the use of criminal history and drug screening information in the employment process.
- Make sound decisions to mitigate legal risk.
Additional General Colleague Advisory Tasks:
- Follow up on documentation related to other Colleague Advisory case types (Formal Warning/Final Warnings) and upload to imaging.
- Follow up with action items/tasks needed to complete cases.
- Make initial contact with People Leaders to set up time to speak with specialists.
- Assist with case queue management.
- Answer and respond to phone inquiries.
- Assist with reviewing and processing employee COVID cases.
- Provide general case assistance.
Skills You Will Need
Analytical Skills: Ability to review candidate criminal history and drug screening information to determine employment eligibility.
Communication Skills: Conduct phone assessments and document findings with accuracy, maintaining confidentiality, and practicing open and continuous communication.
Decision-Making: Evaluate candidate responses and make appropriate business decisions to ensure compliance with laws and mitigate legal risk.
Attention to Detail: Document phone assessments accurately and ensure candidates supply all required information within the designated timeframe.
Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Organizational Skills: Follow up on documentation, complete action items/tasks, and assist with case queue management.
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of MS Office computer programs and prior experience with human resources systems and administrative tasks.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at various levels.
Creative and Strategic Thinking: Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.
