Timely completes and documents all actions taken regarding patient care beyond the patient visit (to include patient and family education, telephone correspondence and triage, prescription refills, forms completion, data abstraction of needed surgical related data out of medical records etc.) Maintains the exam rooms and work environment. Provides support to the clinic as needed in other areas such as Journey's Medical Weight Loss Clinic. Professionalism and Teamwork oriented and willing to live up to Norman Regional's I.C.A.R.E. values and The Norman Way. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience preferred Experience Medical office experience perferred, but not required. Priority on providing excellent patient care. Must be comfortable communicating with patients and othe medical staff. Must like working in a busy fast paced enviroment, have excellent attention to detail, and comfortable with technology including computers, faxes and phones. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Licensure/Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment. CMA or RMA preferred. Compensation/Benefits $13.74-$22.44/hr depending on previous work experience.
