Job Summary
The Community Schools Program Specialist is tasked with continuously improving and implementing effective Community School strategies. The Community Schools Program Specialist oversees and manages programs and activities on school sites that address the emotional, social, and health-related needs of students and their families. Works closely with Family and Community Engagement Specialists and Liaisons to address barriers to learning and coordinating appropriate services and referral. Program specialists will build and maintain Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) that use a whole child design focus.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Possession of a Master’s Degree in social work, education, counseling, or related field
• Must possess and maintain a valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) school counseling and/or a valid teaching credential
• In possession or in process of an Administrative Services Credential
• Bilingual/Biliterate highly desirable
