The Ops Support Specialist in the Policy Owner Services department of Insurance Services maintains policies in all lines of business and processes all requests in accordance with policy contract stipulations. Cash surrenders, loans, reinstatements and all other policy owner requests are processed for the original lines and student life lines of business.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
In addition, the candidate will identify concerns, ask appropriate questions, respond to inquiries in a concise and courteous manner while documenting all research finds thoroughly. The candidate recognizes priority situations and understands when to notify appropriate parties.
The candidate should have knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week working Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.
- A hybrid or in-office working schedule is an option after training and all employees are required to come into the office once per month, or as requested.
Salary Range:
- $50,000 – 55,000 based on experience
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask when necessary
- Analytical ability, mathematics skills, knowledge of recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Good attention to details
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Thorough working knowledge of Life Insurance Operations
Job Description:
- ?Review and determine whether a submitted request to cash surrender or borrow from a whole life policy can be processed.
- If all signature requirements are met by the policy owner and any/all supplemental documents are received, the request is processed, reviewed, and approved by the department manager.
- A check is then mailed to the policy owner with a cover letter.
- The Specialist must image all documents to the company file on a daily basis.
- Processed work must be logged and submitted to the department manager weekly. The log must include the function, amount received for processing, the amount processed and the balance.
Remote Work Requirements:
- ?A laptop will be provided to you
- You must provide Internet Access with speed requirements of:
- Upload – 8 mbps
- Download – 15 mbps
