The position major functions include:
- Planning, execution, & closeout of all transportation activities required for international and domestic project cargo shipments
- Scheduling both domestic and international shipments in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Selecting appropriate approved service providers for shipping, export packing, etc.
- Ensuring proper documentation for shipments in compliance with federal regulations and international laws and regulations
- Responding to logistics quote requests
- Audit and processing service provider invoices
- Perform risk analysis for assigned projects and develop mitigation plan for logistics scope in collaboration with Project Management to support customers and business needs
- Tracking multiple simultaneous shipments
- Complete all export-related documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, shippers’ letter of instruction, and any other document as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with Global Trade Compliance to obtain the harmonized tariff codes, country of origin’s, and restricted party screening
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to learn tools and applications used within the organization
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field plus a minimum experience in logistics of 2 years OR minimum experience of 5 years in logistics field in lieu of a college degree.
- Knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms 2020)
- Understanding of technical regulations related to logistics import/export, understanding of customs and legal requirements
- Review export documentation for accuracy and obtain Bill of lading from freight forwarders and maintain international shipping documentation required per the company’s record retention policy
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Analytical and critical thinking skills as well as an initiative-taking mindset
- Establish and maintain professional rapport with service providers and customers, both internal and external
- Great communication and collaboration skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience arranging international breakbulk and container shipments
- Experience in continuous process improvement methodologies
- SalesForce experience
Salary Grade: 48
Salary Range: $87,456 - 131,184
