PositionOverview:
As the GroupLead for Coach-Final Assembly, your primary responsibility is to ensure theefficient and high-quality assembly of Coach vehicles in the final stages ofproduction. This pivotal role involves overseeing a dedicated team,coordinating assembly processes, and maintaining quality standards. Yourleadership is instrumental in achieving production targets, adhering to safetyprotocols, and encouraging a collaborative work environment.
What yourday may look like:
- Provideswork assignments and work instructions to employees throughout each workday.
- Assistsand trains employees in new job assignments.
- Coordinateswork schedules with other Group Leaders and/or Supervisors and maintains workstatus. Performs quality checks on work being performed.
- Monitorsemployees' safety, quality, methods, and output.
- Keepssupervision informed of work plans, status, and employee performance.
- Preparesand/or reviews employee time sheets and other labor input documents.
- Assiststhe supervisor in conducting regular safety meetings.
- Performsinformation inquiries and/or transactions using computer terminals to supportother duties and responsibilities.
- Worksfrom detailed engineering drawings to fit-up piece parts in fixturing assemblycomponents consisting of steel channels, brackets, angles, sheathing, assemblies,and subassemblies.
- Meetsproduction schedule with minimum supervision.
What willmake you successful in this role:
- Highschool education or equivalent.
- Twoyears minimum experience in safely handling structural steel, utilizing cranes,forklifts, lifting fixtures and slings. Welding of carbon and / or stainlesssteel. A.W.S. D1.1 and D1.3 certification for welding of all positions oncarbon steel required. A. S. M. E. Section 1X certification for tack weldingall positions on stainless steel. MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding is our primaryprocess being used.
- Abilityto fully understand of manufacturing drawings, able to verify dimensions. Mustunderstand tolerances. Complete shop order documentation and time sheets.
- Mathematicalskills: Competence to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability tocompute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Capableof reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, andmemos. Able to write clear, concise correspondence and present informationeffectively in one-on-one and small group settings with colleagues.
- Abilityto read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively presentinformation in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, andother employees of the organization.
- Ableto apply common sense to follow detailed, yet straightforward, written, or oralinstructions.

The hourlyrate range for this position is $22.29-$29.92 per hour plus 10% shiftdifferential for 2nd shift. The role is eligible for overtime for certainwork schedules. The salary may be higher or lower depending on your experienceand skills.
