Development Coordinator, Cantor Arts Center

Serving the Stanford University campus, the Bay Area community, and visitors from around the world, the Cantor Arts Center provides an outstanding cultural experience for visitors of all ages and a growing online audience of scholars. The Cantor’s encyclopedic collection spans 5,000 years and includes more than 40,000 works of art from around the globe. An established resource for teaching and research on campus, the Cantor offers free admission and programs year-round. It is consistently one of the most visited university museums in the U.S.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Development Coordinator supports all aspects of the Cantor Arts Center’s fundraising, and -- most significantly -- this position will oversee a joint membership program with Anderson Collection, and gift acknowledgement programs. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving and communication skills, and will be able to jump in to learn new processes and systems.
In this role, you will:
Work closely with the Cantor Development Team to maintain the efficient operation of fundraising programs, including the joint membership program with Anderson Collection, the bi-annual gala, gift acknowledgements and donor relations, and special events, including the joint Museum by Moonlight program with Anderson Collection.
Assist in the tracking and routing of all incoming gifts to Cantor, including in-kind gifts of art.
Provide logistical support for membership events, including registration, check-in, customer service, and attendance tracking.
Manage financial transactions and assist in the coordination of administrative management of the Development team.
Help to maintain relationships with other arts units and university departments
Provide project and administrative support.
Assist in the design, publication and production of fundraising materials.
Build a network of relevant contacts, and stay informed on current university initiatives and activities.
Review and track funds and report on use of gifts, as assigned.
Assist in the planning and implementation of events and donor cultivation, as needed.
Retrieve information about prospects and donors, update records, and generate simple reports using the university external relations database.
Track budget(s), and process reimbursements for the department.

Please note that this position will be based on the Stanford campus and will be considered hybrid with the expectation to be on campus 3-4 days per week depending on events. In addition, this position may require working evenings and weekends.
In order to be successful, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and one year relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Demonstrated commitment to promoting and supporting an environment of diversity and inclusion.
Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of database systems, such as Salesforce or Oracle Business Intelligence.
Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people.
Outstanding communication skills and exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.

The expected pay range for this position is $35.10–$41.35 per hour.
