The Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy is seeking a Continuing Education Coordinator who will provide administrative support and expertise for the Division’s continuing education program (inclusive of the residency and fellowship programs).
The qualified candidate will be responsible for marketing, planning, and implementing strategic objectives to ensure the continued, long-term success of the program.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Plans, organizes, and delivers in-person and online continuing education programs, inclusive of residency and fellowship didactic content (approximately 30 per year)
- Support and develop marketing plans for programs.
- Coordinates all program logistics including but not limited to room and venue scheduling, faculty availability, hotel, transportation, parking, ordering/purchasing supplies, and catering based on individual program needs.
- Establish and communicate timelines and deadlines with faculty regarding course presentations.
- Manage program budget; responsibilities include payment of faculty, catering, printer, internal USC vendors, etc. Complete end of program reconciliation of expenses.
- Utilizes learning management system, online registration system (Cvent) and MailChimp
Note: Weekend work may be required when courses are scheduled

The hourly rate range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Minimum Experience:
3 years
Minimum Skills:
Practical and administrative accredited education experience.
Experience in soliciting continuing education grant funds or donations from a wide variety of sources.
Experience with current professional accreditation criteria.
Possesses working knowledge of professional standards, requirements and trends in educational opportunities in the area of specialty.
Demonstrated strong skills pertinent to team work, communication, analytic problem solving and education advocacy.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, critical thinking and communication skills.
Knowledge of and functional competency with computers, software, data systems and other electronic devices and methods used to deliver educational programs.
Preferred Experience:

Preferred Skills:
Practical and administrative accredited education experience in a university or other environment requiring on-going professional education or accreditation.
