This position is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient flow of materials through the TPU manufacturing areas. This person interacts daily with the production planner, production coordinator, supervisors, operators, process engineers and maintenance personnel. This position reports directly to the Logistics Team Leader.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand the hazards and save handling practices for all raw materials utilized in the department.
- Understand general concepts of ISO 9001.
- Safely receive packaged raw materials following all raw material receiving procedures
- Perform offline blending, screening, and packaging. Follow priorities set by the logistics team to meet production schedule and customer delivery expectations.
- Sample and package warehouse and hot room aged material to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Accurately document and report off-line screening, blending, and packaging.
- Handle all required SAP transactions including receiving raw materials, packaged production, and packaged shipping as needed.
- Ensure proper cleaning of all equipment to avoid contamination or cross contamination of finished goods
- Diagnose process and equipment problems/make minor repairs or suggest improvement opportunities.
- Maintain an organizational system for the B471 warehouse and raw material storage areas.
- Perform cycle counts for packaging supplies and raw materials.
- Safely load trailers for shipment to the off-site warehouse.
- Safely receive and unload returned goods and damaged goods.
- Safely load and unload candle oven and jet cleaner.
- Understand and implement the principles of 5S.
- Help expedite line turnarounds when needed.
- Help assemble candle filters when needed
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Requirements:
- Evidence of a strong Safety and Continuous Improvement mindset
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office
- Trained forklift operator
Considered a Plus:
- Knowledge of TPU manufacturing process, finished goods and raw materials
- Experience training fellow employees
- Demonstrated success in reporting accuracy
