Our client has been in business for over 52 years supplying quality and innovative lifting solutions for heavy duty vehicles. They are part of a group of companies, including a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of lifting equipment for heavy duty vehicles. With over 3,600 users of our mobile column lifts, my client is one of the leading players in this challenging environment. To support our development, we have an open position for a Field Service Engineer. This position requires travel 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) in multiple states possibly in the same week.
Job Title: Full Time Field Service Engineer Job Salary: $65k +/- DOE
Job Description: After a training period of at least 2 months, provide on-site service support to users of SEFAC lifts nationwide as well as Canada if needed Demonstrate a strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and travel as dictated by the job Repair mobile column lifts on customers site (electrically and mechanically) Perform Annual inspections of mobile column lifts and sign the certificate of inspection Perform technical diagnostic by phone with customers based in the US or Canada Complete paperwork for all jobs and complete expense reports for travel Schedule your own flights, hotels, and rental cars Communicate by cell phone and email to customers and co-workers on a regular basis
Requirements: Expertise in Mechanic and electric troubleshooting Must have a valid USA drivers license Experience with lifts/hoists will be considered as a plus Great customer relations Safe and proper presentation on customers site Good computer skills (MS Office, Skype, Drop Box) Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving A team player with high level of dedication and a positive self-starter attitude Allowed/able to travel to Canada Pays attention to details Able to rent a car and fly to all 50 states Proven experience in parts and service sales; to be versed in other administrative positions will be a plus
