Job Description
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the following:
Establish and maintain the bank's Compliance Management System (CMS).
Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures to comply with banking and consumer protection laws.
Conduct regulatory research and implement necessary policy changes.
Manage the implementation of new state and federal regulations.
Initiate and conduct investigations into non-compliance issues, determining root causes and corrective actions.
Coordinate internal and external audits and examinations, providing support to auditors and examiners.
Generate comprehensive management reports and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
Lead compliance testing and develop corrective action plans.
Provide training and guidance to bank staff on compliance-related matters and regulatory changes.

The Successful Applicant
The Compliance Officer should have the following background:
College degree (2-4 year) in finance, law, business, or a related field.
3-5 years of direct experience as a Compliance Officer at a Bank or Financial Services Institution.
Expertise in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws.
Working knowledge of banking consumer protection laws and regulations, especially in mortgage, fair lending, and depository services.
Experience with testing, corrective action plans, and management reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management skills.
