The HR Shared Services Transactions Specialist provides responsive and accurate HR transaction and data processing for a broad range of personnel transactions. Coordinates the resolution of and/or referral of specific policy-related procedural problems and inquiries to the appropriate party. Provides analytical and technical support as well as process navigation assistance to department representatives pertaining to processing of personnel transactions.
Essential Functions:
Provides responsive and accurate transaction and data processing for a broad range of personnel transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data and compliance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Receives, reviews and processes all relevant source data documentation pertaining to hiring, termination, employee status changes, special compensation and/or special contract assignments for entry into Workday.
Works with various functional areas to resolve policy-related, process-related, or procedural problems and/or inquiries pertaining to personnel changes.
Confirms accuracy and integrity of data entered; maintains data in HRIS systems and databases and assures updated information is available on a timely basis.
Participates in testing, trouble shooting and problem resolution in the development and maintenance of human resources data bases, enterprise resource planning systems, and manual/electronic filing systems on an as needed basis.
Ensure responsibility and visible commitment of diversity equity and inclusion strategy, programs, and initiatives through collaboration and implementation of initiatives across the health system.

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of human resources experience in a role requiring customer interaction and problem resolution
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Experience PREFERRED
- 1 – 3 years of experience in Payroll Healthcare
- HRIS experience
- Basic understanding of HR and Payroll concepts, policies and procedures.
- Exercises independent judgement in the interpretation of inquiries and determining the appropriate guidance.
- Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
Education/training REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent
Education/training PREFERRED: Some College coursework
