The Human Resources / Risk Management Agency currently has multiple vacancies for PART-TIME positions for the Human Resources Specialist Classification. The specific area of assignment will vary and be based on the Agency's staffing needs.

The Human Resources Specialist is an entry-level position within the Human Resources/Risk Management Agency that performs and assists in a variety of administrative and technical duties and responsibilities in support of the City's human resources functions, including recruitment and selection, human resources information systems (HRIS), classification, compensation, employee benefits and wellness programs, leave administration, employee relations, labor relations, and equal employment opportunity; and performs other related work as necessary.

This recruitment will result in a part-time eligibility list, which will be used to fill the current part-time vacancies and any future part-time or full-time vacancies within this classification. If opportunities arise, part-time employees may be scheduled to work up to 29 hours per week and are not eligible to participate in the City's health insurance or retirement plans.

Education
Equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience
One (1) year of administrative or technical support experience in human resources. An equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for all but 6 months of the required experience.
Desirable
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Prior experience within recruitment, selection, onboarding or benefits/leave administration in the Public Sector.
