Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Waterworks Quotations Manager. This is a hybrid role that can be based out of Houston, TX. An in office presence in accordance with Ferguson's Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote will be necessary.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee local quotation efforts and staff across our Houston Market.
- Builds project material estimates and performs material takeoffs as needed for multiple markets within four state area
- Daily communication with sales team to generate feedback and follow up of quotations process and product
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
- Follow up on customer quotes and contacts vendors for material pricing
- Analyze specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of associates to ensure the team's resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met
- Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members
- Develops and maintains relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure coordination and exceptional service levels
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures
- Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction related project management, project coordinator, quotations, or estimating experience, highly preferred
- Waterworks quotations or product knowledge is preferred
- Prior use of PlanSwift, BidTracer, Salesforce, or similar estimating software, highly preferred
- Familiarity with customer quotations software, such as Planswift, Blubeam, and On Center are highly preferred
- Construction experience with water & sewer and storm drain materials, a huge plus
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment plants, booster pumps, pump stations, a plus
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to juggle multiple requests in a timely manner
- Self-starter, creative problem solver, and eagerness to learn and grow
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people at multiple levels of the organization
- Ability to function effectively in an autonomous setting
- Proven attention to detail coupled with organizational skills
