OVERVIEW
Hendall is seeking an experienced Training Specialist with refugee resettlement, unaccompanied children program subject matter expertise to support a federal government contract focused on advancing and strengthening the existing training infrastructure, with a specific focus on addressing the continuously evolving training needs of the Unaccompanied Children's Programs (UCP) within the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). UCP is dedicated to providing top-tier training to federal employees, care providers, state and local governments, NGO's, and other entities responsible for the well-being and nurturing of Unaccompanied Children (UC) in ORR's care. This initiative is designed to create an adaptable and innovative training ecosystem that proactively caters to the ever-changing demands of UCP care. Strong communication skills and a track record of providing hands-on training support for highly visible Government programs are essential. Please note this is a full-time, hybrid position that requires the training specialist to be IN OFFICE on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
DUTIES
Extensive experience in the development and enhancement of technical training
Expertise in management and oversight of projects of the size and scope of this requirement
Provides administrative direction for training problem definition, analysis, requirements development, delivery and is a technical expert in Unaccompanied Children area
Designs and prepares presentations in specialized subject matter
Provides internal planning, guidance, and management structure for tracking accomplishment of work assigned
Demonstrated expertise in oversight of all aspects of a project of similar size and scope
Provides direction and management for complex projects
Provides management and technical direction of projects ensuring maximum effectiveness in the use of resources for the timely completion of projects
Possesses significant training platform development and enhancement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience: 7 years of experience in the development of technical training, preferably in the field of Unaccompanied Children (UC) services, with Technical ORR experience of 5 years
Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field
Experience ensuring adherence to the requirements of a performance-based contract, including meeting the acceptable quality levels of a quality assurance surveillance plan, and delivering in accordance with a schedule of deliverables
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to establishing and maintaining strong, productive relationships with clients and stakeholders
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
