Ultimate Staffing is recruiting for a Senior Accountant/ Auditor in the Rockville, MD area! This is an exciting opportunity with a well-established CPA firm. Excellent training program, compensation package and tremendous opportunity for growth!

Permanent position

Hybrid - 4 days in office and 1 day remote

Annual Salary: $65,000-$125,000, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee audit planning and fieldwork for a variety of non-profit organizations and for-profit privately held businesses
• Supervise and train staff on audit fieldwork procedures and audit theory
• Complete management of compilation and review engagements
• GAAP Financial Statement preparation and analysis
• Prepare non-profit income tax returns and business filings

Job Requirements:

• 2-8 years of experience in the public accounting field
• Non-profit accounting experience a plus
• CPA license or be actively pursuing CPA license
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Exceptional project management, analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the utmost attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi-task) and effectively and efficiently prioritize and meet deadlines
• Maintain professional demeanor and confidence communicating with clients
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with AdvanceFlow audit software, Lacerte tax preparation and QuickBooks accounting software is a plus
