We are currently seeking a Director, Streaming Platform Sales & Distribution to join our distribution team based in our New York, New York headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY
As the?Director of Streaming Platform Sales & Distribution, this position’s primary mission is to?forge strategic distribution partnerships?and?negotiate impactful deals?within the ever-evolving streaming media landscape. This role requires the ability to navigate complex negotiations, build strong relationships, and drive revenue growth. The Director provides development and execution of sales and distribution strategies that drive incremental revenue and secure media value through the distribution of AMCN’s branded platforms with key new media partners, spanning brands and services of key streaming distributors in the SVOD, FAST and AVOD space. This position is part of the Distribution team within the Commercial Revenue team and will work collaboratively to manage existing partnerships, seek new distribution opportunities, and execute other strategic distribution priorities for AMCN.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President (SVP) to develop and execute sales and distribution strategies.
Lead negotiations with partner accounts, ensuring favorable terms and win-win outcomes.
Craft compelling proposals that highlight the unique value of AMCN’s streaming platforms.
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Understand existing contracts, industry trends, and partner-specific data.
Represent AMCN effectively in cross-functional discussions.
Track and measure the results of sales distribution efforts.
Monitor contractual compliance and marketing partnerships.
Analyze data to identify areas for growth and optimization.
QAULIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
Bachelor’s degree
7-10 years of relevant work experience
8+ years of deal negotiations
Proven track record in deal negotiation, preferably within the media or entertainment industry.
Familiarity with streaming platforms, SVOD, FAST, and AVOD services.
Ability to drive the entire negotiation process from planning to successful closure.
Excellent communication and persuasive abilities.
Strong analytical mindset to evaluate deal terms and trade-offs.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
The base compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
