As a Financial Analyst, you are responsible for the forecasting, reporting and analysis of cost centers. Monitor actuals and ensure that cost center actuals are reported according to Accounting / Harman / Samsung policies and procedures. The role will collaborate with commercial business leaders to support the growth and profit objectives for the North America region of the Lifestyle Consumer Audio business. The role also supports major corporate and global initiatives. The North America region is headquartered in Northridge, CA with annual revenues of over $1 Billion.
Your Team
You will report to the Manager, FP&A for Lifestyle Consumer Audio for the North America region.
What You Will Do
Prepare cost center expenses for forecast and budget cycles, aligned with organization goals.
Generate and analyze cost center reports to provide insights on budget, forecast and variances.
Collaborate with cost center owners to understand and address any discrepancies in the reports.
Contribute to the development and improvement of models used for forecasting and budgeting.
Work closely with the FP&A Manager to provide data-driven recommendations to optimize costs.
Partake in month-end activities by reviewing results, identifying trends, and analyzing variances.
Maintain financial accruals to ensure accurate reflection of financial obligations.
Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management.
Maintain report of non-PO (Purchase Order) invoices. Analyze data to identify patterns and root causes. Take proactive actions to reduce exceptions.
Assist the FP&A manager in reviewing and approving expenses, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and policies.
Support the FP&A manager in preparing and submitting financial data and reports to Global Consumer, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or equivalent
Minimum 3 years related experience in reporting, accounting or analysis.
Ability to work with operational teams in a multi-location environment.
Experienced with advanced Excel capabilities (eg. pivot tables, lookups, sumif).
Detail oriented, curious and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
A self-starter and able to initiate new ideas and improvements.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
What is Nice to Have
Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Consumer Products or related industries.
Worked in Finance and Accounting at a large public company.
Proficient in working with SAP/BPC and related systems.
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel.
Be willing to work 3-5 days a month in an office in Northridge, CA.
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
What We Offer
The standard base salary range for this position is $81,000-$99,000 + applicable bonus.
