The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Rady Children’s Hospital is looking for a full time Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team providing care for children with gastrointestinal diseases. This position will involve caring for patients with various gastrointestinal disorders in an outpatient setting. You would be joining a division of 20 physicians, 6 fellows and 5 NPs. There is also a team of dieticians, social workers and therapists that work in collaboration with the division to support the care of our patients. You would work both as a solo practitioner and in tandem with a physician making patient assessments, developing treatment plans and assisting with the overall care of these patients. You be joining a large division with a robust educational curriculum and engaged support staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
Current California Nurse Practitioner license
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Furnishing number, State of California (w/in 1 year of employment)
DEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications (within one year of employment)
Medicare Billing number (NPI- National Provider Identifier) Must obtain within 6 months of employment
Certification: Nurse Practitioner, National (w/in 1 year of employment)
Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services
Successfully completes the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
Two years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty area
Experience in specialty area as a Nurse Practitioner
Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills
Bilingual Skills desired
The expected hiring range for this position is $58.38 to $80.27.
