Full time Speech Pathologist positions available in our school age programs serving students 5-21 years of age located in Dutchess County, NY. This position will be responsible for the speech therapy program assigned case load at our School Programs with locations in Poughkeepsie and Hyde Park.
This position is crucial to the development of children of all ages. We follow a school calendar, 48 weeks per year, which includes a six week summer program. Salary Range: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for speech therapy program for assigned caseload. These responsibilities include:
- 1. Initial evaluation/periodic re-evaluation
- 2. Program planning and implementation of program
- 3. Scheduling of caseload in conjunction with classroom staff and other related services
- 4. Coordination of program between student, counselor/teacher and case manager
- 5. Maintain interdisciplinary communications regarding program
- 6. Report at team meetings and or annual reviews as needed.
- Responsible for written documentation as required by Abilities first Inc. policies and or appropriate programs. Must adhere to paperwork deadlines, agency forms, and content
- · Responsible for attending program staff meetings and parent/teacher conferences as assigned by Directors of various programs.
- Work in conjunction with counselors/teachers to develop student treatment plans.
- Perform related work as assigned by program Directors
- If licensed, may supervise staff speech pathologist participating in Clinical Fellowship year.
- Assists in maintenance of treatment sites
- Provides departmental/staff in services when indicated.
- Provides list of needed therapy materials to Program Director
- May participate in Feeding Team or Augmentative Communication Team when appropriate.
- Must have a current NYS driver’s license, free of moving violations *Amendable to Class E) deemed acceptable by our insurance carrier

- Adheres of State Education rules and regulations. Preschool employees must adhere to Office of Children and Family Services policies.
