Overview
The Construction Project Managers primary responsibility is to focus on procurement and special projects, ensuring timelines and adherence to budget. To partner with legal and other stakeholders on contracts to ensure the company's interest are protected.

Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, or other involved parties; develops detailed description ofend state success, jobs and materials necessary to complete project
Proactively look for alternate suppliers for Owner Provided equipment
Perform proper due diligence on existing suppliers to ensure that any cost increases or other impacts to budget or schedule are legitimate
Manage procurement timelines to ensure long lead time deliveries align with construction need-by schedules
Create requirements-driven Special Projects scope and manage the project lifecycle from fact finding to completion and commissioning
Prepares and submits budget estimates and regularly communicates with client concerning budget progress and costs. Aggressively correct cost overruns
Ensures adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments
Leads contract negotiations to include Master Purchasing Agreements and Pricing Agreements with internal counsel and external vendors
Proactively looks for conflicts and collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve, including work procedures, construction drawings, or design issues
Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, emergencies, preexisting or developing conditions
Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5+ years of commercial construction experience required
Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
