We are looking for a Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales to provide strategic vision and thought leadership in driving Gigamon’s revenue worldwide through its global field sales force, and its diverse partnerships, channels and alliances. This role reports to the CEO and is the lead commercial role in the company, responsible for driving a fast growing revenue stream worldwide. Additionally, the executive is a key member of the company’s executive team, helping to drive broader corporate strategy and direction.
The ideal executive will possess a charismatic and motivational leadership style, coupled with the experience and strategic instincts to strike the right balance of direct and indirect sales models and key alliances and partnerships for an increasingly global business. This individual will need the skills to scale the organization and to operate successfully in a global, multi-channel environment. Similarly, experience of and the cultural sensitivity to operate successfully in international markets will be a critical aspect of success in the coming years.
What you’ll do:
- Grow revenue and maintain profitability by maximizing the potential of the existing customer base while concurrently gaining additional market share.
- Be the primary voice of the customer to the company, executive team and board of directors.
- Refine and execute a go-to-market strategy for Gigamon that balances the appropriate mix of direct and indirect sales, and recognizes the increasing strategic importance of alliances and partnerships to deliver complex solutions to enterprise and service provider customers around the world.
- Lead from the front by contributing to success with major global accounts and driving a culture of successful global account management, including nurturing executive relationships.
- Provide transformational leadership for a growing worldwide team, increasing the capability of the organization to successfully sell in an evolving environment, and in a market that demands complex solutions.
- Ensure the right team, strategy and approach is in place in diverse international markets to maximize Gigamon’s commercial footprint on a global basis.
- Provide overall operational sales direction to the company and leadership of the sales organization to achieve superior levels of performance measured by lower customer acquisition costs, improved operating margins, and improved go-to-market and sales operational processes.
- Attract, develop, and retain the best possible team and ensure that they operate and assimilate into the successful Gigamon culture.
- Implement and understand key performance indicators, both operational and financial, and hold people accountable for results.
- Develop strategies for improving sales effectiveness and ensuring that sales efforts maximize return on assets while achieving strategic goals.
- Establish effective customer and partner feedback mechanisms from the global sales organization to inform product improvement or new business opportunities.
- Collaborate actively with peers on the leadership team to drive Gigamon’s performance and excellence.

What you’ve done:
- Previous experience leading a high-velocity Worldwide Sales Organization.
- Proven experience selling complex, business-critical software solutions and products.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, manage, and retain a world-class sales team. Understands the value of developing ‘bench talent’
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively at senior levels within a highly matrixed business environment.
- Exceptional track record for building major account relationships from the top down.

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role based out of Gigamon's Santa Clara, CA, Headquarters office is $400,000 - $415,000, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefit programs, which may include health and other insurances such as life and disability, and savings accounts such as a retirement plan with company matching contributions or similar, paid time off (holidays, vacation, and sick), tuition reimbursement, employee assistance program (EAP), business travel accident insurance, employee discounts, and employee referral program. Additionally, employees may be eligible to participate in the Profit Interest Units plan.
