Automation Tester
The Opportunity:
When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and a delightful user experience are key factors resulting from successful software development, which requires rigorous testing. That’s why we need a knowledgeable automation test engineer like you who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

You Have:
- Experience writing test plans and detailed test cases, creating test scenarios, executing test scripts, and generating test results
- Experience reviewing business requirements and system specifications for planning the test scope
- Experience developing, configuring, and executing automated test scripts and maintaining automated test and test environments
- Experience supporting an acceptance test-driven development process, and designing and developing automated and manual scripts for regression testing
- Experience with SDLC and implementing incremental automation test scripts in an Agile team cadence
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, and version control tools such as Git and SVN
- Experience logging defects, creating defect reports, and conducting regression testing
- Knowledge of testing CI best practices to successfully integrate in a client development environment
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with DevOps concepts and integrating regression tests as part of the CI/CD pipeline and build process
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development frameworks such as Cucumber and JBehave
- Experience implementing a test automation suite to validate low code/no code commercial-off-the-shelf software such as Pega, Salesforce, or ServiceNow
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
- Knowledge of non-functional automation testing tools, including JMeter or LoadRunner
- Knowledge with Web services and API testing using tools, including SoapUI and Postman
- Agile or SAFe Certifications
- Software Tester Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
