In this role you will be reporting to the Event Sales Manager focusing on direct-to-consumer sales.
In this role you can be expected to do the following:
- Perform product demonstrations at Costco focused on driving sales and brand awareness.
- Close the deal by answering customers’ questions and overcoming objections.
- Create an energetic and fun event, providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Memorize scripted pitches and retain comprehensive product knowledge.
- Consistently achieve sales that meet or exceed monthly and annual sales objectives.
- Set up, break down, and merchandise demo booth/pop-up shop, while adhering to visual Standards per ZWILLING’s specifications.
- Take inventory on a regular basis and communicate replenishment needs.
- Communicate regularly with the management team providing constructive insights and feedback.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Eager to create business, drive sales and stand out.
- Comfortable selling a variety of culinary and kitchen products across multiple brands including but not limited to cutlery, cookware, and kitchen electrics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; outgoing and energetic.
- Strong persuasive public speaking skills in front of a live audience.
- Must have reliable transportation to various Costco and event locations.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. (set-up, break down, and restocking demo booths).
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends, and potentially overnight travel.
- High school degree, GED, or equivalent degree required.
Ideally, candidates should have any of the following skills to succeed in the Event Sales roles:
- Consumer goods and services sales experience.
- Roadshow experience to present products.
- Experience in direct or pitch style sales ideal.
- Culinary experience with a passion for food.
- Theater / acting experience to convey information clearly and effectively.
Schedule and Pay, Bonus and Commission Structure:
- A single roadshow is comprised of the following schedule:
- Thursday evening- booth set-up (8:30pm-11:30pm)
- Sales begin Friday post set-up and last for 10 consecutive days of product demonstration and sales (including weekends).
- Monday-Friday: 10-11 hours per day; Saturday-Sunday: 9-10 hours per day
- Last sales day (10th and final day of the show)- tear-down of booth
- Part Time: Work one roadshow/month.
- Full-time: Work two roadshows/month (3 ½ days off between shows)
- Compensation includes:
- Hourly pay plus overtime - each roadshow is approx. 100-120 hours total.
- Aggressive sales-based commission and bonus structure with uncapped commissions.
- On average, experienced demonstrators make $2,300-$2,500 per 10-day assignment, with potential to make significantly more based on sales performance.
- The hourly wage for this position is $15.00 plus overtime. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

- If a Roadshow representative is on assignment more than 50 miles from their residence (or over an hour away), we will cover necessary travel costs within reason to include hotel, airfare, rental car, when necessary & up to $50/day meal reimbursement.
