LinQuest is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Analyst with experience as a US Air Force Mobility Analyst/Plans SME to join our team in the Secretary of the Air Force Studies and Analysis (SAF/SA) office in the Pentagon. The qualified candidate augments and assists the military and civilian staff in producing analysis to support Air Force decision makers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and participate in short notice as well as long-term analytical studies and assessments using a variety of tools and techniques to include qualitative, spreadsheet, and computer simulation-based analyses.
- Expected to participate in model, simulation, and tool development as required.
- Leading and assisting in the development of analysis plans for studies of Air Force logistics and mobility requirements, combat aircraft and weapon requirements, modernization, and new acquisitions. Typical studies include, analyzing theater-level warfare & preparation for war, future force capabilities & capacity, risks, and vulnerabilities, weapon capability analyses, aircraft survivability analyses, current and future combat aircraft inventory requirement analyses, and weapon acquisition analyses.
- Using available data, subject matter expert knowledge, and best judgement, provide input to the development of computer models and simulations including, but not limited to, Analysis of Mobility Platform (AMP), Air Refueling Model (ARM), AD-ARM, CBSA, CL-FACTS, and perform general mobility analysis in support of SAF/SA taskings.
- Running computer simulations and analyzing output data, verifying and validating results, adjusting simulation inputs as required to align output with actual and/or expected results in a real-world environment.
- Presenting analysis of simulation output to include insights, conclusions, and recommendations in written documents and verbal briefings for review by Air Force decision makers.
- Attending/participating in meetings both locally and at other locations as a subject matter expert on air combat analysis, deployment modeling and analysis, and SAF/SA’s analytic capability.
- Support for transportation (airlift and sealift), air refueling, force structure, and capability analyses efforts that incorporates feasibility assessments using Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD).
- Preparing written, non-technical reports as required, indicating solutions or range of possible alternatives success when there is no single solution.
- Work independently or with a team on a myriad of complex operations research projects and/or model/tool development efforts within the area of expertise.
Required Skills and Experience:
- BS degree in technical field such as mathematics, computer science, or a relevant technical discipline
- 5-7 years of experience (12 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree)
- Understanding of Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD)
- An active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- US Air Force Operational Experience in Mobility related field
- Experience developing study plans that include background, purpose of study, scope/limitations, critical assumptions and constraints, measures of effectiveness, study parameters and variables, methodology description, data requirements and schedule
- An active TS/SCI clearance
