The Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and improves new and existing products using sound engineering principles. He/she provides technical support to the Electrical Shop, testing, and electrical manufacturing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2-4 years of electrical or controls and automation experience or equivalent.- Master's degree in Electrical engineering with 1-3 years of electrical or controls and automation experience. - 1-2 years of medium voltage engineering work a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, comprehend and write in English.- Ability to effectively present technical information, to colleagues, customers and vendors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - As per electrical engineering degree requirements. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form.- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Manufacturing/ Inventory software- Spreadsheet and word processor software- ETAP or SKM software experience- Visual Basic and Visual C a plus- AutoCAD, Solid. WORKS Electrical a plus. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Valid Driver License OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Valid passport- Domestic and international travel may be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Essential engineering expertise - electrical design, control systems, power generation, and system interface.- Experience designing medium voltage systems up to 33 k. V preferred.- Experience performing load flow, coordination, short circuit and arc flash studies- Experience designing multi-drive systems for drilling rigs a plus- General computer proficiency.- Knowledge of drafting principles including CAD and AutoCAD Electrical, and Solid. Works Electrical experience a plus.- Knowledge of engineering software such as Mat. Lab a plus.- Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles as it relates to manufacturing operation.- Knowledge of oilfield regulatory requirements a plus.- Design creativity.- Understanding of patents. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES - Provide technical support to other departments- Provide engineering analysis, design, plan, review and inspection on projects- Ensure that designs meet required regulatory codes- Conduct preliminary engineering studies- Perform design prototyping, including field implementation & testing- Prepares and reviews electrical product documentation- Correct Visual Part Maintenance & BOM issues
