Salary Range:
FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your Responsibilities:
The Field Service Technician will report to the Sales Manager and will assist sales in the routine maintenance of existing customers, the trouble shooting of problems at existing customers, and the execution of field trials at new or existing customers. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Routine maintenance at existing customers
- Pulling samples from existing systems
- On-site testing of systems
- Completion of technical service requests and log sheets
- Submission of samples to the laboratory
- Completion of service reports
- Trouble shooting of problems at existing customers
- Evaluating the conditions of products in the system
- Investigating the customer's equipment as it relates to product performance
- Execution of field trials at new or existing customers
- Trial preparation to include cleaning of systems, insuring proper supplies are preordered and available, etc.
- Installation and monitoring of trial materials
- Ensuring trial parameters are controlled and documented
- Collection of pertinent data during the trial and writing trial reports
- Travel
- Travel throughout the Ohio territory. (Approx. one overnight per week.)
Qualifications we are looking for:
- The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor‘s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience demonstrating a high apti-tude of mechanical ability.
- Strong verbal and written communication with a high degree of problem solving skills.
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to travel on short notice and handle unanticipated situations.
- Teamwork, collaboration, and self-motivation are essential.
