The Finance Business Partner is a key role, providing robust and insightful decision support to Business and Finance Management to enable the delivery of our financial objectives, both operational and strategic. The Finance Business Partner proactively works with Management to identify business risks and opportunities, find pragmatic approaches to challenges, and aid in the implementation of solutions and best practices across local organizations and alliance partners.
In support of Finance Management and the Oncology Business, the role ensures financial transparency and the disclosure of risks.
This role requires a good working knowledge of finance processes and procedures applicable to the Oncology Commercial business.

Typical Accountabilities
Develop periodic financial and strategic plans related to US OBU Franchises, across Brands, Tumors and indications
Drive P&L management with a focus on accurate sales forecasting, cost control, and resource allocation.
Track business performance, including key KPIs and core financial reports such as P&L, inventory, and gross-to-net.
Lead monthly business reviews, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely submissions from the US market to the Global Oncology Business Unit.
Support AstraZeneca and Alliance planning cycles, including coordination, modeling, presentation development, quarterly settlements, and delivery.
Manage the planning and forecasting processes in coordination with key stakeholders to deliver consistent, ambitious, and reliable plans.
Challenge and investigate financial results to identify performance gaps, monitor progress towards budget achievement, and recommend corrective actions.
Engage with business stakeholders to gain insight into key business drivers and tactics, identify opportunities, and support the preparation of robust business cases.
Proactively review and assess the business performance reporting landscape, driving changes and enhancements in collaboration with the US Lung Finance Director and other Business Partners.
Serve as the link between Franchise Commercial and Finance, ensuring that tools and processes meet the needs of the business.
Identify improvement / simplification opportunities for the financial planning journey and operational processes
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
University degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
5+ years of experience in financial management
Outstanding analytical and communication skills with a strong execution track record
Advanced financial modeling skills
Developed/advanced business acumen
?Desirable
MBA, CMA / CPA / CFA desired
Experience in Pharma/Biotech/Medtech environment preferred
Experience in managing large processes or projects
