JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, conducts investigations of alleged employee misconduct, coordinates and interprets board policy and administrative procedures, and serves as a resource to district administrators regarding various employee discipline issues to help maintain quality staff within the district.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts investigations of alleged employee misconduct by planning, scheduling and conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, alleged perpetrators, and other involved parties.
Provides assistance with testing impropriety investigations and submits completed investigation reports, with supporting documents, to the appropriate personnel.
Develops official investigative reports based on relevant documents, evidence collected, and interviews. Reviews official reports for grammar, clarity, conciseness, and structure, and submits final reports to the appropriate administrative personnel.
Reviews and analyzes all interviews, documents, and evidence as they pertain to the allegations, and renders findings supported by the evidence and facts of the investigation.
Serves as a District Liaison and assists, cooperates, and exchanges information with the district police department, the city police department, other law enforcement agencies, risk management, children’s protective services (CPS), and the county children’s assessment center while conducting investigations involving students and school district personnel. Provides daily assistance to CPS, law enforcement, and prosecutors in locating child victims, witnesses, and perpetrators to criminal complainants.
Prepares and provides sufficient case documentation (including forms and narratives) related to specific tasks performed to provide a complete and accurate case record, including legal documentation or testifying in hearings for all necessary cases.
Responds to subpoena requests and provides evidence and testifies under oath in judicial and school district administrative hearings with regards to misconduct of school district personnel.
Facilitates employee reassignments pending investigation by assisting district administrators with the reassignment process, documentation creation, notification, and tracking.
Administers investigation trainings to first year principals.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years, (5-7 years preferred)
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
PeopleSoft, SAP, Microsoft Office, Chancery, AppliTrack or other Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.
