Boeing Commercial Airplane's (BCA) Customer Support organization is seeking first-line Mechanical and Structural Engineering Managers (Level K) to lead the Airframe Service Engineering teams based in Seal Beach, CA, providing 24/7 support to Boeing commercial airplane customers.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead fast-paced teams working complex technical challenges in support of safety operation and return to service. As an Engineering manager, you will interact with other service engineering and design/specialized engineering teams, field service teams and maintenance teams, Fleet Chief Offices, U.S. and International commercial customers/suppliers, and regulatory agencies. You will possess an excellent communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable interacting with diverse cultures, and be able to work on variable shifts.

Primary duties of the team include customer service interface, repair development, structural analysis, structural damage tolerance analysis, project management, operational safety assessment, and FAA certification.
Develops and executes projects and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of related work experience (Aircraft production, operations, maintenance, repair, or customer interface).
1+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Excellent communication and project management skills, along with the ability to make decisions and deliver results.
Committed to finding a way to resolve problems and keep commitments.
Experience working structural activities with Boeing airplanes.
Experience providing customer support services to airlines.
Experience with Structures design and analysis.
Familiarity with FAA transport airplane structural regulations.
ABET accredited engineering course of study.
Ability to work variable and/or rotating schedule.
