Job Description
Monitors and evaluates the Louisiana Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) award.
Works closely with PHIG Manager, Principal Investigator, and CDC contacts to develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan that adheres to federal program requirements.
Works closely with the PHIG Manager on the development and ongoing implementation of the Targeted Evaluation Plan (TEP).
Analyze and interpret key monitoring and evaluation data collected as part of the TEP.
Communicates and summarizes results of TEP and makes recommendations for interventions based on evaluation results.
Provides periodic analysis of project issues, challenges, and improvements to evaluation methods.
Prepares evaluation reports and documentation for review by management including dissemination of documents, evaluation reports, and other documents related to the TEP.
Develops mechanisms to track and report on CDC performance measures; prepare bi-annual submissions for CDC required performance measure reporting.
Contributes to collection and preparation of required progress reporting data.
Participates in and assists with implementation of relevant national and organizational workforce assessments.
Participates in the PHIG Evaluators Peer Network; attend all peer network meetings and collaborate with PHIG partners on evaluation of the grant.
Contributes to supporting organizational infrastructure with regard to monitoring and evaluation capacity and performance improvement.
Provides technical assistance to grant-funded programs to identify and track relevant performance metrics.
Contributes to overall successful management of the grant.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in public health, public administration, social services, health services.
Minimum 1 year of surveying and/or assessing health or social service programs or facilities for compliance with state and federal regulations.
Minimum 1 year of professional experience with project management or project coordination.
Minimum 1 year of professional experience with monitoring and evaluation of public health or healthcare related programs.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods for public health programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and project management tools such as Monday.com.
Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
Great attention to detail and follow up.
DESIRED:
Advanced degree in public health, public administration, health services, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in public health, public administration, social services, health services
Minimum 2 years of surveying and/or assessing health or social service programs or facilities for compliance with state and federal regulations.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience with project management or project coordination.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience with monitoring and evaluation of public health or healthcare related programs.
