Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Project Management Specialist to join the Business Transformation team in El Segundo, CA.
This role will lead, develop, integrate, analyze, and maintain plans and schedules for very complex projects, programs, and change-driven activities.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops performance reports and works with multiple sources to identify and understand variances to present to Senior Leaders
Makes recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
Assists customers to develop a performance recovery plan and ensures all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders
Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
Develops, builds, and improves estimating models and databases.
Leads/supports special projects assignments
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years’ experience in change management, program planning, project management, integrated scheduling, Industrial Engineering, or Business Operations
3+ years’ experience with end-to-end project/program management: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close
Experience leading projects using Project Management Best Practices and tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience using Open Plan Professional
Experience using Microsoft Project
Experience using Milestone Professional
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Uses a logical approach to improve processes and solve problems
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet program and/or project requirements
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
