Vitamix is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Commercial team. This RSM will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a domestic commercial region made up of various commercial channels to ensure desired profits and obtain long and short term department and company sales goals and objectives. They will be responsible for driving business and sales growth for the region, developing partnerships with Sales Reps in the region to ensure strong sales volume and achieving sales and profitability goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have experience in the food service industry and B2B sales, and have experience partnering with domestic food service dealers and distributors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops the Commercial sales channels, through distributors and dealers or direct, that will maximize long-term growth and profit.
- Oversees the establishment and training of new manufacturer rep. groups, dealers, and distributors on product understanding, demonstrating, marketing and selling techniques, materials, and service.
- Ensures sales and contribution expectations are met, adhering to quality, proper methods, and practices.
- Establishes and maintains contact with distributors, dealers, sales outlets, and end users, continually seeking feedback for product and sales process improvements.
- Represents Vitamix at domestic trade Shows and Conferences. Coordinates and works with distributors and dealers to ensure adherence to customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of industry and regional developments, trends, and protocols.
- Detects and reports quality or process problems, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision.
- Calls on product manufacturers, food and beverage companies, and regional chain accounts to build the Vitamix brand and grow sales and profit in the region.
- Establishes and Maintains contact with sales outlets, end users, distributors, manufacturing reps, and wholesalers in the Foodservice industry.
- Organizes and manages commercial sales region activities to ensure adherence to customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Remains current on chain accounts in region and ensures they are serviced and called on regularly.
- Monitors activities in region to ensure adherence to Vitamix brand personality and value proposition.
- Assists sales representatives in the event of difficulties and instructs new representatives in the proper performance of duties.
- Compiles and submits accurate sales forecasts for region to Corporate HQ.
- Compiles and submits reports and information tracking sales, expenses, mileage log, and daily activity report as directed by corporate.
- Remains current on changes in the Foodservice industry, relaying changes to corporate personnel and sales reps.
- Coordinates and works commercial shows in region or when requested; including set-up, demonstrating, selling, taking orders, and tear down. (trade shows)
- Assists rep groups in determining individual sales goals to meet department objectives.
- Monitors reps performance and communicates progress to Commercial Team leadership; provides coaching and support as needed.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to broadly influence and effectively forge partnerships both internally and externally
- High level of corporate professionalism, maturity, and political savvy
- Highly reliable, proactive self-starter; can be counted on to complete assignments on time
- 7+ years experience in the food service industry and B2B sales, partnering with domestic food service dealers and distributors
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
