Schumacher Homes is a true stick built custom homebuilder. Your knowledge of construction will go a long way toward your success in this role. It will allow you to pull from that knowledge to help our customers customize their home to get exactly what they want. This opportunity will allow you to compete at the highest level and to compare with other Schumacher Homes General Managers. We are seeking a highly motivated and competitive person.

We are opening a brand new location in Charlottesville, VA. The General Manager will be responsible for the build out of our new location and will build relationships with trade partners. As the General Manager, you will hire, train and motivate employees to accomplish or exceed business plan goals. Review all customer sales contracts and special price requests. Review and approve all variance purchase order for payment. Participate in all pre-construction meetings with the customer, construction manager and customer coordinator. Conduct weekly company level production and sales meetings. Bring on trades, work with suppliers and lenders.

This position requires 5-8 years of experience in residential construction (custom home scattered lot build is preferred, but not required). Additionally, the selected candidate must be someone who resides in or has worked in the Charlottesville area.
