This candidate must be committed to the teacher-scholar model at a primarily undergraduate institution. Manhattan College Mechanical Engineering faculty are expected to maintain high-quality teaching. The candidate is expected to teach classes in areas including (but not limited to) Solid Mechanics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Machine Design, Manufacturing, HVAC, Building systems, etc. A successful candidate will be required to teach 24 credits per academic year.
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have a proven commitment to teaching and advising students. The department offers a concentration in Biomechanics and Aerospace at the undergraduate level, in addition to the eight concentrations currently being offered in the graduate program.

Salary: $88,000 - 93,000 Per Year
