Clinical Assistant position assist in the care of the patient by following through on Provider orders for treatments. Individuals may be responsible for taking the patients vital signs, conducting blood draws or take x-rays as certified. Individuals in this function typically have certification or are working towards their certification as a Medical Assistant. Individuals in this position may also be responsible for overseeing and participating in day to day clinical care of patients. Employees are involved in direct patient care (in a clinic, in-home care, etc.)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares the patient for the Medical Providers examination by obtaining vital signs and patient history
- Prepares and maintains the examination and treatment areas
- Prepares the patient for and assisting with the examination, procedures or treatment
- Maintains medication and medical history up to date
- Performs sterilization techniques. Performs an inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Understands proper function and care of special equipment
- Performs routine maintenance and calibration of administrative and clinical equipment
- Organizes and maintains medical records
- Cooperates with other employees to achieve specific team goals
- Expected to keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPPA and OSHA requirements
- Assist with front desk duties when needed and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Basic computer and word-processing skill

New Jersey Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $23.94 per hour.
