Job Overview:
APTIM has openings for an Environmental Technician/Scientist to Serve as a Hazardous Waste Processor responsible for managing and processing hazardous waste at a large logistics facility in Riverside, California. Assisting with weighing and inventorying items for the purpose of data analysis and reporting. Work requires the ability to bend and lift 30 pounds or less, willingness to work in Tyvek safety suits, wear required safety equipment.
Must be able to work on the shift at (12:00 PM -- 10:30 PM) or
Must be able to work on the shift at (8:00 PM -- 6:30 AM) or
Must be able to work on the shift at (4:00 PM -- 2:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Managing hazardous waste compliance including, but not limited to, processing waste, profiling waste, containerizing waste, labeling waste, and conducting routine waste inspections.
- Inspect and document condition of waste accumulation areas on a weekly basis.
- Maintain onsite waste records including waste manifests and bills of lading in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Involved in the general upkeep of the waste area, cleanup of items in the area during shift and inventory of stocked items such as spill kit and PPE supplies.
- Support facility with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local hazardous waste regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- High school diploma or college degree
- Ability to work well in a team, positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Hazardous Waste/Solid Waste Field
- 40-hour Hazwoper trained
