This professional, software integrator position is a member of the Interagency Information Technologies (IIT) Operations department, responsible for providing high-quality end-user customer service and support. The position takes a role in configuring, deploying, repairing, and replacing endpoint devices, peripheral hardware, and operating systems within the technical environment of Frederick County Government. Additionally, the position will help to establish and adjust technical policies. Supervision is received from the IIT Operations Manager.
Software Integrator: $70,095 - $84,114 per year
Associate Software Integrator: $75,001 - $90,001 per year
Staff Software Integrator: $80,252 - $96,302 per year
Senior Software Integrator: $85,869 - $103,042 per year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize the case tracking software to support customers, following ITT standards and procedures for appropriately resolving or escalating in person, online or by phone
Gather, summarize, analyze, and assist with data needs for reports
Troubleshoot issues related to endpoints and applications; as needed provide escalated customer support
Address support queries from the support community as needed
Design, plan, implement, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software solutions
Define and develop reports and data analysis to facilitate effective business decisions
Maintain endpoint and unified endpoint management platforms including analyzing log files, validating deployment plans, and troubleshooting performance issues
Assess and apply service packs, hotfixes, patches, and updates as necessary
As needed, partner with vendors for software deployments to endpoints
Create, deploy, and maintain endpoint configurations and/or images
Research hardware, software, accessories, and part solutions costs; provide cost estimates to leadership for approvals and budget considerations; identify and recommend opportunities for process and technology improvements
As needed, load and unload equipment and operate a county vehicle to partner locations
Lead testing and provide feedback for existing and new processes, patches, operating systems, software, and hardware
Troubleshoot and recommend security settings, security policy, multi-factor authentication, and local firewall settings
Represent IIT as a member of project teams and initiatives
Train and support other County employees as needed
Suggest, draft, and proof knowledge base articles, FAQs, and handouts for supported hardware, software, and processes
As needed, help to establish and adjust technical policies
Perform other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL CLASSIFICATION LEVELS:
Minimum 1 year work experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
Project management experience in an IT environment
Experience interviewing users and writing requirements descriptions
Experience analyzing requirements, specifications, data, and programs; and designing a suitable solution
Maintenance and back-end support of client/server applications and/or web-enabled applications
Experience designing and implementing .NET web applications with SQL Server back-end or equivalent technology
Experience designing and implementing Power Platform solutions
Possession of a valid automobile operator's license
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Ability to maintain County Authorized Driver privileges
Ability to work on multiple projects through study, design and implementation phases and to effectively manage multiple projects
Ability to effectively organize work, exercise independent judgment, determine and establish priorities and complete assigned duties with minimal supervision
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, coworkers, government agencies, system users, and the general public

Working knowledge of Windows operating systems in a multi-user environment
