What You'll Do:
Lubrizol is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support our Global Supply Chain team. You will work closely with the Senior Manager of Finance for Supply Chain and the Global Supply Chain team to provide financial insights and guidance. You will also be responsible for providing accurate and compliant financial reports that support a robust internal controls environment. This role will be based out of our Global Headquarters in Wickliffe, OH and will follow a hybrid working model.
What We're Looking For:
- Partner with the Global Supply Chain team and provide financial guidance to link their activities and actions to the financial results.
- Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities, such as preparing journal entries, conducting reviews, account reconciliations, and generating reports.
- Prepare monthly reports on standard metrics, analyze expense variances, and summarize key financial and performance indicators for Global Supply Chain. Share the results through published reports and personal communication.
- Develop new or requested financial reports and analytics to illustrate key drivers of performance metrics in supply chain.
- Responsible for global inventory reporting and control including the support of third-party inventory reconciliations and certifications as well as conducting annual test counts where necessary.
- Drive effective inventory controls related to Non-Working Slow Moving (NWSM), inventory reconciliations, cycle counting, and physical inventories.
- Maintain a robust finance control environment for Global Supply Chain activities in compliance with corporate policies.
- Support the annual operating expense budget process and complete forecasting requirements.
- Support and track Continuous Improvement initiatives, including process optimization, standardization, metrics harmonization, project review and benefit sign-off.
- Participate in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes to ensure operations connectivity to demand drivers and improvements to spend forecasting.
- Prepare and submit inventory reports for the Tax department and assist with audit inquiries.
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Skills That Make a Difference:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university.
- At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel functions required. Experience with BOBJ and Power BI preferred.
- Strong technical skills in GAAP accounting, financial modeling, and analysis.
- Effective communicator and team player, with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Prior experience in plant, cost accounting, supply chain or operations finance experience.
