Willdan Lighting and Electric (WLE), a subsidiary of Willdan, is seeking an Outreach Coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote the energy efficiency program by engaging in outreach activities including prospective customer/contractor lunch and learns, inbound prospective customer support, trade show presentations, tabling at conferences or community resource fairs, webinars, and cold calling.
- Develop outreach plans in collaboration with program management team to target key market segments to achieve the program's energy efficiency targets.
- Provide tracking and reporting of relevant outreach KPI's for strategy analysis on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
- Coordinate outreach to customer leads delivered to Willdan via the Con Edison customer interest survey.
- Utilize Hubspot to send marketing emails to prospective contractors and customers.
- Attend industry events to identify and network with potential contractors and customers to participate in the program.
- Support Con Edison with marketing efforts to create customer and contractor facing marketing collateral.
- Assist small business owners by providing clear and informative guidance on energy efficiency measures.
- Assist with customer segmentation, targeting and development and maintenance of contact lists and communication efforts.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports to track progress toward program goals.
- Engagement in any and all areas critical to meeting program objectives.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or related field, with a proven track record in sales or outreach.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, marketing or business,
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of energy HVAC equipment and mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, variable speed drives, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, chilled and hot water loops, and boilers.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency regulations, policies, and standards at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Client Retention Management (CRM) experience.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Sound reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude.
