Job Summary/Basic Function
The Director for Programs & Training is involved in a wide range of projects and initiatives in support of the overall mission of The Forum. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, and working together with other Forum staff, the Director takes the lead on range of projects and initiatives related to must-have training and programming. The Director is responsible for meeting revenue, engagement, and impact targets.
Essential Functions:
Manages the Professional Certification: 1) Manages the enrollment, assessment process for participants in the Professional Certification. 2) Serves as the primary resource to members regarding training and professional development opportunities. 3)Helps develop marketing content and materials for the Certification Program and Micro-Credential Program. 4) Manages The Forum’s learning management system , which supports the Certification and asynchronous courses
Direction and management of Forum Workshops and Training: 1) Develops new professional development opportunities (i.e. workshops, regional seminars, asynchronous courses) on timely topics, according to the needs of The Forum and the field, and updates existing ones when necessary. 2) Trains and manages facilitators for associated seminars, workshops and programs. 3) Assists and/or leads delivery of a variety of Forum programs. 4) Collaborates with marketing and Executive Director to develop marketing materials and strategies for programs.
Customized Programs: 1) Recruiting customized program clients. 2) Manage and/or outsource the development of customized programs
Webinar development and delivery: 1) Develops and manages webinars on timely topics, according to the needs of the field. 2) Recruits volunteer experts to present. 3) Prepares and manages presenters for associated topical webinars.
Participation in Forum Council initiatives and resource development: 1) In collaboration with working group chairs, leads a variety of working groups and committees established by The Forum Council. These groups will vary from year to year. 2) Responsible for executing projects that grow out of associated working groups. 3) Reports on committee and working group activities to the Council and Board of Directors, when appropriate. 4)Directs and manages the ongoing development, improvement and maintenance of the Member Resources. 5) In collaboration with other Forum staff and volunteers, creates new resources to serve the needs of the membership and field at large.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
5-8 years work experience
A valid Driver's Licence is required. Employees (operators) must have been in possession of a valid operator’s license for not less than three (3) years and the license must have been in good standing without interruption during that time period.
