The Center has recently been awarded a new research program to Explore Best Practices for Expanding Access to Care through Expansion and Support of Telehealth Care for Children and Families with Behavioral Health Needs through the Department of Defense.
Job Overview
The Program Specialist provides thought partnership, coordination and support across the four major components of the program: Provider ECHO, School-based Professionals ECHO, Digital Resource Library & Website, and establishing a Military Mental Health Access in Pediatrics exploratory program.
They serve on the leadership team and collaborate with the Principal Investigator and Project Director to ensure that all program functions and deliverables are completed.
They coordinate with each component team to ensure the program team workflow, the management and tracking of program activities, the management and completion of required reporting, and the support production of products. As well, they participate in research activities and assist with technical support during virtual meetings and training activities.
Further, they serve as an important member of the team in the development, coordination and planning of component activities - and to further cross team collaboration and communication efforts as needed.
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
Reporting to the Administrator and the Project PIs, the Program Specialist has a pivotal role in ensuring that all team members (20+) are working towards the same mission; and works closely with physicians and other team members from MGUH, as well as with other program partners.
This position has been designated as Telework. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree - preferably in the Human Services, Public Policy or Social Sciences fields or related field
- 2 to 3 years of experience in coordinating/managing within a service-oriented organization or child health or mental health field preferable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving and the ability to work well both collaboratively and independently
- Strong organizational, management, conceptual and analytical skills
- Computer skills using data communication and webinar technology
