The Director of Operations is responsible for successfully managing and operating medical practices involving one or more specialty disciplines and/or clinic sites and leads all functions and activities under areas of responsibility. Coordinates and manages varied activities to achieve the departmental academic, research and clinical service goals. Demonstrates a system- wide perspective on new initiatives while ensuring the highest quality of patient services, cost effectiveness through efficacious resource allocation and efficient and responsive flow of patients, information and materials. Influences the strategic direction of Ambulatory Care based on the analysis of current operations, anticipated needs and innovative approaches to the care delivery model. Drives process improvement and continuously looks for opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize operations. Owns relationship with senior leadership (e.g., Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chair, and VP/AVP); may have relationships with external partners. Makes recommendations for new initiatives to senior leadership.
Education
Bachelors Degree: Health Care Administration, Public Health, Business or related field (Required)
Masters Degree: Health Care Administration, Public Health, Business or related field (Preferred)
Experience
5 Years experience in healthcare management or practice management (Required)
Progressively challenging managerial experience in an organization/division of comparable scope and complexity (Required)
