JOB SUMMARY: This position will provide supportive services and employment support to Goodwill associates. This role will assist entry-level associates in improving employability skills and achieving employment/career goals to help associates to reach their highest level of self-sufficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Help frontline Goodwill associates establish a vision for where they want to take their careers, identify the skills they need to build, and provide coaching support to help them move ahead.
While maintaining professional boundaries, establish a high standard of care with clients, including regular outreach, career development-related case management, and employment-related research conducted on behalf of clients.
Conduct job readiness, digital skills, career exploration, and other essential skills assessments to help determine clients interests and talents.
Use program and service knowledge to initiate, suggest, and/or implement plans to motivate clients to achieve employment goals.
Assist clients with job search skills, resume development, and interview preparation.
Assist clients with access to Mission Services programs, continuing education, and internal training programs.
Stay up to date with recruiting and job search practices, resume design, and site- and web-based training classes.
Foster client empowerment and resiliency by helping clients identify their strengths, as well as barriers to higher-paying jobs.
Promote self-advocacy and help-seeking skills by assisting clients build networks of support.
Assist clients in navigating internal policies and procedures, including payroll advances, benefits, and promotions.
As necessary, connect clients to community networks and wrap-around services.
Conduct research on labor markets and local employment trends to inform clients career pathways.
Maintain CARF standards and perform data entry in support of services provided to clients.
Coordinate and execute programmatic initiatives that promote employee care.
Collaborate with other areas of Goodwill Central Oklahoma to establish a positive organizational experience and work culture that influences retention and minimizes turnover.
Participate in training and development activities and meetings within the organization and/or the community.
Review and become familiar with Goodwill Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs, and procedures. Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes and attend safety training sessions and necessary safety meetings.
May perform other duties and projects as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelors degree preferred.
In lieu of a college degree, must have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in workforce development, human services, counseling environments or community rehabilitation.
Previous experience preferred in the field of employment, transitional employment assistance, job development, coaching those seeking employment or resource navigation for individuals with multiple barriers to employment.
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must maintain valid Oklahoma drivers license, current auto insurance and tag.
Must maintain a good driving record and pass MVR check.
Must pass OSBI/DOC background check as well as drug screening.
This is considered a safety sensitive position. No level of impairment from drugs, alcohol or prescription medications will be acceptable while performing the essential functions of this job.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work in a climate-controlled environment most of the time.

Works 40 hours per week Monday through Friday or more when required.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when necessary for outreach and events.
Local travel within the state is required up to 50% of the time.
