Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The Mathematics department is seeking individuals to deliver high-quality instruction primarily inlower divisionmathematics courses. The department values educators who are committed to fostering excellence in undergraduate education, promoting critical thinking, and inspiring mathematical curiosity in students.
The position carries a teaching load of a minimum of twenty-four (24) units and six to seven (6 – 7) courses per year, distributed over two (2) semesters. Typically, three (3) courses will be assigned in one (1) semester and three to four (3 – 4) courses in the other. Most of the courses in the Math department are four (4) unit courses with a few three (3) unit courses.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach introductory and/or upper division Statistics courses.
Ph.D. in Mathematics or related fields.
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Hiring Range
$66,560.00 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
