Job Description
The HR Generalist will:
Administers various human resources plans and procedures; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policy and procedures manual.
Monitors and helps administer the performance evaluation program.
Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, invoice reconciliation, and communicating benefits information to employees.
Develops and maintains the affirmative action plans; files annual EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reports; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Support the new-hire process including orientation and ensures the appropriate and timely processing of new-hire paperwork.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Maintains records and employee statistics for government reporting. Uses tact, discretion, and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience with SCA & Government Contracting preferred
Qualifications
Five or more years of human resources experience (government contracting experience preferred).
Bachelor's degree (human resources preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HR Certification highly desirable.
Must work well in team environment.
Experience working with recruiting techniques and employment policies and procedures, including EEO and ADA regulations.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Good ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.
Possesses the ability to self-manage and adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected shifts in priorities while maintaining focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service driven and attention to detail is a must.
