We are an aerospace manufacturing company seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize computer numerical control (CNC) programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis machining. This role involves setting goals for process improvement, creating instructions and calculations for machinists and programming, and ensuring adherence to 3D CAD design blueprints. You will translate instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program, verify program accuracy, and make adjustments as necessary. Experience with CGTech Vericut is an advantage.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Write and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machining.
- Review 3D CAD models and blueprints to ensure program accuracy.
- Use CAM software to generate programs for complex parts.
- Calculate programming parameters, including cutting paths, speeds, and feeds.
- Run simulations to verify program accuracy and perform necessary corrections.
- Verify G&M code using CGTech Vericut or Camplete
- Ensure programs meet machining safety requirements.
- Improve manufacturing processes to reduce cycle and lead times.
- Create detailed machining instructions for machinists.
- Provide technical assistance and training to machinists.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience using 2D/3D CAM/CAD software.
- Experience with 5-axis milling (Matsuura MAM Systems a plus).
- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, G-code, and M-code.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages and machining operations.
- Advanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to interpret blueprints and solid models.
- Proficient in Mastercam and/or GibbsCam; experience with Camplete or CGTech Vericut is advantageous.
- Intermediate to advanced shop math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and MRP databases.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands: Job duties are mainly performed in a temperature-controlled office environment with some exposure to an open warehouse environment with a wider range of temperature variation and exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, and chemicals.
- Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and walking.
- Occasional periods of bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, squatting, climbing, and crawling.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 20 pounds (And rarely up to 50).
