We are looking for a talented individual to join our Process Engineering team to help handle the daily operations of our wafer fabrication cleanroom. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers developing state-of-the-art, next generation military and industrial imaging systems. Thinking outside the box, generating new ideas, and being an effective team player is essential for success in this role. The individual will learn the daily operations of a world class wafer processing plant.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Daily responsibilities will include:
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce manufacturing costs and improve manufacturing yield
• Assist Engineers in maintaining semiconductor assembly equipment and current manufacturing processes
• Assist Engineers in developing new advanced wafer processing methods
• Updating standard operating documentation
• Work with the operations team to solve daily manufacturing issues
• Design manufacturing fixtures
• Conduct time studies of manufacturing processes
This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:
(Freshman Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Senior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least a Freshman by the start of Fall 2024 and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree majoring in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
Preferred Qualifications:
ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Experience with wafer dicing, wire bonding, hermetic sealing, automatic pick and place, or flip flop assembly.
Experience with MS Office programs.
Able to work in a cleanroom environment.
Able to effectively work in a team setting.
Able to work on manufacturing equipment.
