Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Marketing Manager
Works with internal and external audiences to build awareness and preference for hospital and its services, while improving the health of the community.
Leads the planning of special events geared to improve health and promote hospital services.
Attend and participate in public meetings, community events, health fairs, neighborhood community activities, screenings and special events to promote and educate the public about the healthcare district.
Strengthens existing relationships and cultivates new ones through working with existing physicians and new referring physicians alike
Seek out and coordinate public speaking engagements with Lompoc Healthcare District constituents' diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups about healthcare district services and programs.
Coordinating and administrating software management of volunteer services within the organization(s).
Maintains necessary records of volunteer paperwork, compliance and hours.
Coordinating volunteer schedules.
Performance of various clerical duties for the Foundation (IE sending welcome letters etc.)
Maintain and utilize donor relationship software and event database.
Attending designated Foundation meetings including annual meetings, prepare agendas, take and distribute Minutes of the meeting to designated persons.
General bookkeeping and bank management.
Assuring that bulk mail is fully funded and maintaining organizations PO box.
Process donation requests and gifts and acknowledge gifts with thank you letters to the recipient and donor.
Maintain designated office hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Education:
High school degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Experience:
Experience working with community partners on collaborative projects.
Experience coordinating events
Knowledge and experience with social media platforms
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaborative working environment.

Must work well under stress or tight deadlines.
Must work well with supervisors, co-workers, patients/residents, family members and the public.
