Job Summary
The Professional Development Coordinator supports the processes and procedures related to developing and implementing a firm-wide training and development strategy for all firm personnel. The position is responsible for supporting all administrative functions of the Professional Development Department and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) team and reports to the Learning and Professional Development Director.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinates administrative support and logistics for attorney and staff training programs. Collaborates with CLE Manager to support the maintenance of and updates for the firm’s learning management system (CrowellU). Troubleshoots and works with programmers on new features for future releases.
Collaborates with the Professional Development Manager and CLE Manager to support the maintenance of department databases (e.g., UKGPro, ViGlobal, LinkedIn Learning, etc.).
Serve as the point of contact for attorneys and staff on professional development resources.
Manages the Training and Events calendar and email inbox.
Supports the Talent & Inclusion Team with logistical needs to assist the Learning and Professional Development Director and Chief Talent & Inclusion Officer in meeting coordination.
Support the firm’s mentoring and integration programs, including the Professional Development Team’s Rise Onboarding Platform for associates and counsel.
Conducts market research on talent development related topics including compensation, integration techniques, wellbeing, and mentoring, and makes recommendations where appropriate.
Collaborates with the Talent & Inclusion team and other departments across the firm to continually evaluate and enhance professional learning processes and systems for greater efficiency and quality.
Work on special department or Firm projects as needed.
Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to provide quality client service to internal and external contacts regarding routine and complex matters, and to develop and maintain effective business relationships with people of diverse backgrounds. Requires tact, patience, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, and to make presentations to small and/or large groups in an effective manner.
Ability to pay impeccable attention to detail.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite to produce quality written communications, including presentations. Knowledge of advanced functions of Excel.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge or guidance, analyze and interpret data from several sources, solve problems by applying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish department functions and participate in team events and programs.
Demonstrated ability to represent the firm with honesty, integrity and professionalism, consistently acting in an ethical manner.
Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience
The position requires a minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment, during which the knowledge, skills and abilities applicable to the position were demonstrated.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $55,400-$73,000.00. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
